Me riding a cycle cross race in Virginia USA in 2011.
That's me in the left hand side of the picture getting a lesson in CX from the Yanks.
Woke up around 6 am and had a couple of bits of toast before meeting Buzz down at the Seaforth Roundabout on the mtb.  We did a pretty solid 35k ride up to the Cascades and come home around the Manly Dam track.  Down Cascades, Buzz gave it a bit of gas and left me for dead as he wanted to keep his Strava and it was the first time I had done this 4k descent.  We moved along pretty solid, and I have to do quiet a bit of work to get in mtb shape.  It is going to take a plenty of time back on the MTB.  I am still having trouble with the bottom bearing on the MTB and cant seem to get it right.  I am tossing up buying a new mtb as the Epic has too many mechanicals.  After we finished the the ride with a good coffee, I headed to the mancave to do some time on the speedbag and a bit of skipping. I am enjoying the boxing speedbag and it really helps my hand eye co-ordination.  From there went to the Gym and did a pretty solid workout including dips, chin up, and a full core workout.  Home for lunch, then grabbed the cyclo-cross bike and headed up to Manly's North Head where there are some great trails and are getting used to my Focus Mares CX bike.

Feeling pretty tired tonight.  A solid days training!!!  Its great the kids are old enough now to drive themselves around!!
